How to Meditate

A very popular beginner meditation technique is known as vipassana, which literally translates from Sanskrit to "sit." Vipassana combines sitting with walking meditation. It's true that some meditation instructors charge a lot of money, but in the long run, the benefits of meditation are well worth the cost. You can easily begin to meditate on your own by purchasing guided imagery CDs or tapes. You can also find plenty of free meditation videos online. The key to beginning a new meditative habit is not really learning the technique - it's actually adopting a habit.

Developing an intentional brain is one of the easiest ways to get started meditating. Our minds operate unconsciously, according to our own setup. When we create awareness by paying attention back to ourselves and our environment, we find that meditation becomes easier and more enjoyable. Mindfully aware meditation can bring about an amazing change in your life, as well as making you feel completely renewed and happy.
